About HELD Sister Foundation

HELD Sister Foundation was founded as a direct response to insufficient support structures for cancer patients as well as sexual and reproductive health especially those in rural and sub-urban regions in the country. HELD Sister Foundation started its activities in September 2013 and was officially registered in October 201 S.
We stand as a trusted, reliable and dependable provider of information on cancer and reproductive health issues, psycho-social support to cancer patients and those affected by cancer and in some cases, the foundation offers direct in-kind assistance like sanitary towels to rural women and school girls.We have directly reached more than 20,000 men and women through health talk forums in religious institutions and other platforms.

Through partnerships, we have managed to screen more than 6,000 women in rural and semi-urban areas in 7 different counties. They have benefited with cervical cancer, breast cancer, hypertension, diabetes and BMI

We have directly and indirectly reached thousands through our healthtalks and media (both mainstream and social media) channels making us the most reliable organization to provide correct and well structured information on cancer prevention and management

We have mentored more than 5,000 youths during the mentorship forums that we or our partners organise across the country

We have hosted 4 gala dinners/cocktail for the palliative care unit patients in five star hotels with an aim of Celebrating and cheering them on

We have successfully impacted many lives thorugh our Will You Be My volunteer event since 2013. Volunteers from all walks of life have annually come in large numbers to share their love by holding those in need

We started a medical & education kitty for the needy patients and young orphans robbed off their parents by cancer respectively. 13 patients and 4 children have since benefitted

For our founders good work and leadership, her work have been recognized in numerous platforms

December 2014, she was the guest panelist (representing Kenya) at the Global Youth Coalition against Cancer- GYCC discussing “Role of civil society in cancer prevention and control.”
In July 2015, she submitted a paper on her works and her abstract qualified for poster
presentation during the 9th Stop Cervical, Breast and Prostate Cancer in Africa Conference
organized by the office of the First Lady- Kenya and Princess Nikky Foundation. She also
underwent training on orientation to secondary prevention of Cervical Cancer using VIA and
